A guide on the best places to train ranged on RuneScape. by ElvenKnight
Welcome to the my first RuneScape F2P ranged training guide. So first of all I recommend you have at least 10 defence so you can wear hardleather body. These are some things you should buy:

Cowl
Hardleather body(if you have 10 defence, if not then plain leather body is fine)
Leather vambraces
Leather chaps
Coif
Studded body(20 defence)
Studded chaps
At least 1500 iron arrows, 2000 is good
Shortbow
Oak shortbow
Amulet of power
Willow shortbow
Maple shortbow
Green d'hide vambraces
Green d'hide body(40 defence and Dragon slayer finished)
Green d'hide chaps
Leather boots

Levels 1-5
Equip you shortbow, cowl, leather body(or hardleather body if you have 10 defence), amulet of power, leather boots, and leather vambraces. Go to the lumbridge chicken coop and set ranged style to rapid, then start killing the chickens and picking up the iron arrows.

Levels 6-20
At levels 6-20 you have 2 options, either train on cows or Al-Kharid guards, make sure you pick up the arrows.

Once you have 20 ranged, equip your willow shortbow, studded chaps, and Studded body(If you don't have 20 defence then just keep your leather body).

Levels 21-30
From levels 21-30 you have two options, minotaurs level 12 on the first level of the Stronghold of Security or Barbarians level 10. Personally I prefer the minotaurs as they have higher hitpoints and they occasionally drop iron arrows. Once you have level 30 ranged, equip your maple shortbow.

Levels 31-40
From levels 31-40 I suggest you train either on Barbarians(level 17, 15, and 29 for Gunthor the Brave) in the Barbarian Village Longhall or on Guards(level 21) in Varrock and Falador. Once you have level 40 ranged, equip your Green d'hide vambraces, you Green d'hide chaps, and your Green d'hide body(If you aren't done Dragon Slayer and don't have 40 defence just keep your leather body)

Levels 41-50
From levels 41-50 you should train on White Kngihts in Falador Palace, Black Knight's in Black Knight's Castle or Moss Giants in Varrock Sewers or in Crandor.

Levels 51-70
From levels 51-60 you should train on flesh crawlers(level 28 and 35) in the second level of the Stronghold of Securityl, Catablepons(level 49 and 68) in the third level of the Stronghold of Security, or continue training on Moss Giants.

Levels 71-99
From levels 71-99 will be the easiest and hardest part of your ranged training, easiest becasue you will hit very high, and hardest because to reach level 99 you need about 13 million experience. You should train on Ice Giants(level 57) in the Wilderness, Ankous in the fourth level of the Stronghold of Security, Ghosts in the fourth level of the Stronghold of Security, Lesser Demons in Karaja or Crandor, or Greater Demons in the Wilderness.
